Anthony Sang Njie is a global operations strategist and governance leader whose career spans more than fifty years of leadership across Africa. Over the course of his distinguished career with the United States Peace Corps, he served in multiple senior roles, including Roving Director of Management and Operations for the Africa Region, advising country directors and leadership teams across more than twenty nations.
His work focused on strengthening operational systems, financial oversight, compliance, procurement integrity, and leadership development in complex and resource-constrained environments. Njie played a critical role in establishing new country programs, stabilizing operations during crises, and managing structured program closures while safeguarding institutional assets and diplomatic partnerships.
Earlier in his career, he served for more than twenty-eight years as Associate Director for Administration and Finance in The Gambia, managing large operational budgets and overseeing procurement, facilities, payroll, and security operations. Known for his disciplined approach to accountability and ethical stewardship, he has mentored generations of leaders within international development programs.
Today, Anthony Sang Njie continues to contribute through governance advisory, board service, executive mentoring, and institutional strengthening initiatives across Africa.
